1. Licence overview

The images on this site come from the curation and cataloguing work behind the INOWNESS Materials library. They are intended to help designers, architects and interior professionals quickly find reference images of spaces, materials, colours and objects.

Subject to this page and the Terms of Service, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and non-sublicensable licence to use assets within your design workflow, as set out in section 2. The licence does not transfer copyright in any asset.

Rights in individual assets may belong to third-party authors or rights holders. We display assets for reference and curation only and cannot grant, on a third party's behalf, any permission beyond the scope of this page.

2. Permitted use

Within the scope of this page, you may use assets for:

• Design research and style analysis: gathering references, comparing materials and palettes, and setting a visual direction for a project.
• Mood boards and proposal layouts: using images as references in client proposals, internal reviews and design documentation.
• Project communication: showing reference images when discussing a scheme with clients, consultants or contractors.
• Teaching and non-commercial sharing: using images as case references in classes, workshops or industry presentations, with the source noted.

3. Prohibited use

The following uses fall outside the licence, whether or not the asset is modified:

• Selling or renting assets, or supplying them as content for a paid stock library, asset site or template collection.
• Bundling assets for training machine-learning models, building image datasets, or creating competing aggregation and retrieval products.
• Bulk-scraping, mirroring or automatically downloading assets from this site, or circumventing download and rate limits.
• Using assets in print publication, advertising, product packaging, film and television production or merchandise resale without prior written permission.
• Removing, obscuring or altering rights notices and watermarks, or claiming that an asset is your own work.
• Publishing content in the name of INOWNESS or NEBULA α, or implying official partnership or endorsement.

4. Attribution

Attribution is not required, but we welcome a source note on mood boards, proposals and articles, for example: INOWNESS Materials · https://www.nebulaalpha.com/.

A credit does not imply partnership, certification or endorsement. Please do not use the INOWNESS and NEBULA α names and marks in a way that could mislead.

Where an asset page names an author or source, please keep that information with the asset.

5. Third-party rights and takedown

Assets may depict third-party works, brand marks, people, interiors or architectural works. Display in this library is not a licence from those rights holders for your use; where trademarks, likeness, architectural works or other third-party rights are involved, you must obtain permissions yourself.

If you are a rights holder and believe an asset in the library infringes your rights, email inowness@163.com with the asset page URL, the basis of your rights and your contact details. We will review the request and remove or adjust the asset promptly, at no cost to you.

Assets that are clearly or repeatedly infringing will be removed and no longer displayed once verified.

6. Disclaimers, changes and contact

Assets are provided “as is”. We make no warranty as to their accuracy, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose, and they do not constitute legal, commercial or professional design advice.

We may revise the scope of this licence; revised versions are published on this page with a new date. Assets already downloaded remain governed by the version in force when you downloaded them.
