Privacy Policy
This policy explains how INOWNESS (Beijing) Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. (“we”, “us”) handles the limited technical information generated when you visit NEBULA α, the INOWNESS Materials library (“this site”). We do not create user accounts, build advertising profiles or run third-party analytics, and we keep data collection to the minimum required to operate the site.
1. Scope and operator
This policy applies to the library pages, search features and image downloads available at https://www.nebulaalpha.com/.
This site is operated by INOWNESS (Beijing) Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. In this policy, “we” refers to that company and “this site” refers to the NEBULA α library and all of its pages.
This policy does not cover other sites you may reach through links here. The INOWNESS main site (www.inowness.com) is operated under its own terms and privacy notices.
2. Information we handle
This site does not require registration or sign-in, so we do not collect account details, names, phone numbers or identity documents. In the course of operating the site we handle only the following limited technical information:
If the operator enables traffic analytics, we only use a cookieless, non-cross-site measurement setup, and it loads only after you explicitly choose “Allow” in the consent notice. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing that choice from your browser storage. Measurements are used to understand page traffic and performance only — never for advertising or profiling.
- Access logs recorded automatically by our servers and content delivery network (CDN): IP address, browser and device identifier (user agent), time of access, requested page or image URL, HTTP status code and referring page.
- Language preference: the language you select when switching between the Chinese, English, Japanese and German interfaces, stored in your browser's local storage (localStorage) on your own device. It is never uploaded to our servers.
- Images submitted to visual search: used in memory for that single search request only and discarded once a result is returned. They are not written to our database, object storage or logs.
- Correspondence you send us: the email address, message and attachments you provide when you contact us by email.
3. Purposes and legal basis
We process the information above only to keep the site and image delivery secure and stable; to diagnose faults and respond to abnormal traffic; to defend against attacks, abuse and bulk scraping; to understand overall traffic without identifying individuals; and to answer your messages and requests.
We process this technical information where necessary to provide and maintain this site and to safeguard network security, in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Law of the People's Republic of China and other applicable laws. We do not profile users, and we never use this information for advertising, cross-site tracking or automated decision-making.
If the country or region in which you are located imposes other mandatory requirements on the processing of personal information, we will meet those requirements to the extent applicable. Where a processing activity requires your separate consent, we will ask for it separately.
4. Retention
Access logs are retained for the shortest period needed for operations, and in principle no longer than 30 days, after which they are deleted or overwritten. In the event of a security incident, logs relevant to the investigation may be retained for the duration of the incident handling and deleted afterwards under our internal procedures.
Your language preference remains on your device until you clear your browser data or delete it manually. We cannot read it and do not hold it.
Images submitted to visual search are not persisted and are released once the request completes.
Email correspondence is kept for a reasonable period after the matter is resolved and then deleted, unless the law requires otherwise.
5. Sharing, service providers and international transfers
We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not provide it to advertising networks, data brokers or other third parties for marketing. We do not disclose it except where required by law or where necessary to protect our rights and those of others.
We rely on a small number of service providers to run this site, and they handle the technical information above only as needed to provide their services: images are delivered through Alibaba Cloud Object Storage Service (OSS) and its CDN; the site runs on our cloud servers, where system and access logs are available only to operations staff acting within their responsibilities; and correspondence with us is held in the email service we use. Each provider processes information under its own service terms and our instructions.
The site's primary services are located in mainland China. If you access the site from outside mainland China, your requests travel over international networks, and the associated technical information may be processed temporarily by a nearby CDN node in order to deliver content and maintain security. Where a transfer of personal information across borders occurs within the meaning of applicable law, we will comply with the relevant requirements for notice, separate consent where required, and security assessment.
6. Your rights
To exercise any of the rights below, email us at inowness@163.com. To protect your information, we may ask for the minimum details needed to verify your request, and we will respond within a reasonable period after verification.
Because this site has no user accounts, and because some information such as access logs is kept only briefly, data that has already been deleted cannot be restored.
- Access and copy: confirm whether we process information relating to you and obtain a copy where the law provides.
- Rectification: ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Deletion: ask us to delete information in the circumstances provided by law.
- Withdrawal of consent: where processing relies on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting processing carried out before the withdrawal.
- Complaint and explanation: ask us to explain our processing rules, and complain to the competent personal information protection authority if you are not satisfied with our response.
7. Children and security
This site provides visual references for designers, architecture and interior professionals and the general public. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect children's personal information. If you are a guardian and believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us at the address above and we will delete it after verification.
We apply security measures proportionate to the risk: HTTPS encryption across the site; least-privilege access and separation of duties for servers and logs; prompt updates of the runtime environment; and monitoring for abnormal access.
No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. If a personal information security incident occurs, we will take remedial measures as required by applicable law and, where necessary, notify you and the relevant authorities.
8. Changes and contact
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the site or to legal requirements. The revised version will be published on this page with a new last-updated date, and we will highlight material changes affecting your rights.
For any question, comment or request about this policy or our handling of personal information, email inowness@163.com. Operator: INOWNESS (Beijing) Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd.
